So...what is Microfiber?

Short answer:

Microfiber cloths are made of microscopic fibers. These fibers are so tiny (they've been split to 1/200th of a human hair!), that they can pick up even the smallest bacteria and trap it inside the fibers.

Long answer:

Microfiber is a special blend of polyester and polyamide (nylon).  Made up of 2.9 million meters of fiber, Norwex microfiber Enviro Cloths pick up dirt, grease and bacteria, trapping them in the fibers. The bacteria and dirt is only released once the cloth is washed.

Norwex microfibers are 1/200 the size of a strand of human hair creating more microfiber per cloth than other brands (most cheaper versions are 1/6 of a human hair). This means Norwex Enviro Cloths clean more effectively and more efficiently. Saving you time and money! 

In fact, our Antibac Enviro Cloths are so efficient at picking up dirt and bacteria, tests have shown that they remove 99.9% of the bacteria from surfaces. 

How does Norwex Microfiber remove 99.9% of bacteria? 

Short answer:

It's all because of the microscopic fibers.

Microfiber cloths have spoke-like fibers that lift, draw in and trap bacteria and dirt. The fibers are physically removing the bacteria from the surface.

Traditional cotton cloths have rounded fibers that smear the dirt around. You are relying on a chemical to kill the bacteria...leaving behind a surface coated with a residue of chemicals and dead bacteria. 

Long answer:

Microfiber cloths have spoke-like fibers that pick up dirt, grease, moisture and bacteria, leaving the surface truly clean and dry. Because the fiber is so small (1/100 the size of a human hair), it can easily reach into microscopic crevices.

Once the dirt and bacteria are picked up, they are drawn up into the fibers by capillary action and trapped there until laundered.

Traditional cotton cloths have round fibers that simply push dirt and moisture around. To disinfect a surface, you are relying on a chemical cleaner to kill the bacteria. Simple!

• Throw in the washer and dryer with other lint free laundry (bathing suits, high thread count sheets, polyester track suits).
• Avoid bleach and fabric softeners/dryer sheets (bleach will destroy the fibers and fabric softeners will coat the fibers, hindering their cleaning potential).
• That's it!
